Benefits of Relaxing Bath Salts

The benefits of taking time to relax in bath salts are not only physical but mental as well. In most of our lives, we struggle with stress. Whether it be work, home, relationships, family, or other things going on in our lives. We forget to take care of ourselves.

One of my absolute favorite things is a soak bath. It gives me time alone to unwind and shut off my brain for a little bit. I struggle with anxiety and am a huge overthinker, so it's hard to fully relax sometimes. I pour some bath salts in the bath, right now I'm using Rose, light a couple of candles, and through on some jazz music. Once in a while I'll add a glass of wine or read a good book. The important thing about this time is it's for you. Not a time to think about your to-do list or that big project coming up or the laundry that needs to be folded (the worst part of laundry lol). 

Some of the biggest benefits of a bath salt soak are physical though. It helps to ease stress and relax the body, relieve muscle soreness, ease headaches, eliminate toxins from the body, and soothe dry and itchy skin. It may also help with constipation, achy joints, arthritis, and circulation problems.

Jojoba oil mimics our skin's natural oils so it shouldn't cause clogging of the pours and most people shouldn't have reactions to it. 

Take away from this, if nothing else, is to set aside time for you. It's so important to take care of yourself both mentally and physically. You are amazing and deserve the very best.
